Tavaro – Smart Tab Manager

Support

Tavaro is a local Chrome tab manager for open tabs, native groups, saved sessions, workspaces, duplicate cleanup, and manual tab sleeping.

Quick troubleshooting

  1. Open chrome://extensions.
  2. Find Tavaro and select Reload.
  3. Open the Tavaro toolbar popup again.
  4. If the issue continues, close and reopen Chrome.

For an unpacked development installation, confirm the original project directory still exists. For a Store installation, reinstall Tavaro from its listing when available.

Protect saved sessions before reinstalling

Open Tavaro's Sessions view and choose Export before uninstalling or clearing extension data. The local JSON backup can be imported later. Exported files contain the saved session and workspace data shown in Tavaro, so store them appropriately.

Common questions

Why did a sleeping tab reload?
Chrome unloads sleeping tabs to free resources and reloads them when opened. This is expected.

Why wasn't a tab saved or slept?
Some Chrome internal pages cannot be restored or slept safely. Tavaro skips them. Active, pinned, audible, and explicitly excluded tabs are also protected from sleep.

Why did my restored multi-window session use one window?
A session restores into the destination selected in Tavaro. It does not currently reconstruct every original source window.

Why didn't a file URL restore?
Chrome may require enabling Allow access to file URLs for Tavaro on chrome://extensions.

Report a bug

Include the Tavaro version, Chrome version, exact steps, expected result, actual result, and a screenshot with sensitive tab information removed. Exported session files may contain browsing data; do not attach them unless necessary and reviewed.
