SnapFetch Privacy Policy
Effective date and last updated: August 8, 2026
SnapFetch processes webpage image information locally to help users find and download images. SnapFetch has no owned backend and does not use analytics, telemetry, advertising, user accounts, or remote storage.
Active-page processing
SnapFetch handles website content and limited browsing activity only as needed for its user-facing purpose. When the user opens SnapFetch or requests a rescan, it locally inspects the active page's image URLs, image metadata, page title, and hostname.
Page strings such as titles, filenames, URLs, or alt text could incidentally contain personal or sensitive information supplied by a website; SnapFetch does not intentionally collect that information, transmit it to SnapFetch infrastructure, or create a browsing-history database.
Services and data use
SnapFetch has no owned backend. It does not use analytics, telemetry, advertising, user accounts, or remote storage, and it does not sell user data.
Local settings storage
Small preferences—including minimum image size, file type, and sorting choice—may be stored locally using chrome.storage.local. Page image results are not persisted. Downloads are initiated only after the user clicks an individual download control or the bulk download button.
Image requests and downloads
The browser and the website hosting an image may process ordinary network requests involved in previewing or downloading that image. SnapFetch operates no remote service.
ZIP creation and optional origin access
When the user explicitly chooses Download as ZIP, SnapFetch requests Chrome access to the specific origins hosting the selected images, retrieves those image bytes, and creates the ZIP locally in the browser.
Chrome may retain an approved optional origin permission until the user removes it through Chrome's extension settings. SnapFetch uses that access only for user-requested ZIP retrieval—not background scanning, analytics, or telemetry. ZIP contents are not uploaded to SnapFetch or stored remotely.
Limited use
SnapFetch limits its use of website content, active-page activity, and permissions to providing or improving its single purpose: helping the user find and download images from the webpage they are viewing.
It does not transfer that data for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, data brokerage, or unrelated purposes, and no SnapFetch personnel can access locally processed page data.
